I think this story is meant to stir up memories of Sandy Hook, where first graders were shot.
Keep in mind Alaska is the 49th state, and this story comes on a date with '49' numerology as well as '33'.
3/30/16 = 3+30+16 = 49
3/30 = 3+30 = 33
These numbers connect to 'Sandy Hook' and 'Newtown'.
Sandy Hook = 1+1+5+4+7+8+6+6+2 = 40/49/58
Newtown = 5+5+5+2+6+5+5 = 33
